North Carolina, We're mobilizing for youth action and creating real solutions!
Getting plugged into our state network is a great way to share
resources and build collective power for bigger changes with other
young people across the state
The Southern Energy Network has seen a lot of activity in NC and has
built partnerships between campuses and community to try to increase
the effectiveness of the state network. We're seeing to a great
leadership based semester to come by really trying to plug students
into the campaigns and trainings that are available to grow their
network and increase their effectiveness on camps and in community-
numerous state-based summits, community support, direct action,
state-wide campaigns are in the works and on their way, if not already
here. Read below for some great training opportunities to come your
way.

Over the past few years and with this most recent NCSCC state summit
(NCYES) we are developing a strong network here in NC amongst and
across Student, Faculty, University, Professionals, and Community
lines. We are collectively working to build a well organized and
empowered constituent base for those who wish to see a clean and
healthy future.

Oh Yeah!! North Carolina is representing hard already with over 15
campuses and 4 high schools actively recruiting we are going to come to
D.C as invidividual schools and leave as an awesome collective force!!

Power Shift 2009 is our opportunity to bring a clear message to
Washington, "We want clean and just energy now!". In February, 2009
over 10,000 young people will converge on DC for three days of
training, strategy and action. We will unite as a movement and hold
our elected officials accountable. guess what NC... I'll bet we can
bring 800 students this year! Who's with us?

We're looking for young people from across the Southeast to contribute
to our regional regional work as well as the Climate Action Blog

*UNCA-- Asheville Students for a Healthy Environment are a really rocking group and we in NC will be seeing/hearing of them and Warren Wilson this semester in a big way! CModel Green Building for "Crafts Campus" to be powered by landfill methane
*Warren Wilson-- Gearing up for an action packed semester with the Enviromental Action Coalition kicking off a semester of Organzier development (in conjunction wiht UNC ASHE) with plenty of application on campus and in community. Also to launch a Power Vote campaign on campus !
